What this site collects, which is close to nothing
This describes the actual behaviour of backflowleads.com as it is built today, not a policy written for a site that does more. Last updated 11 August 2026.
§01 This website
Static pages, nothing else
Every page here is a static file. There is no account system, no form processor, no advertising tag, no analytics script, no embedded video and no third-party asset of any kind. The pages load one stylesheet and one image, both served from this domain.
- The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- The site runs no JavaScript. Its content security policy blocks scripts and outbound connections outright, so a page cannot call anywhere else even in principle.
- There is no form on the site. The contact links are ordinary
mailto:links that open your own mail application. Nothing is submitted here. - No fonts, maps, chat widgets, embeds or pixels are loaded from other companies.
Delivering a web page still involves ordinary request handling. The hosting provider processes standard connection information such as an IP address, user agent and timestamp to serve and protect the site. Nothing is added to that for our purposes and no profile is built from it.
§02 Email
If you write to us
An enquiry email and its address are used to reply, to keep necessary business records, and to honour any preference you state about being contacted. Email content is not sold and is not shared for anyone else's marketing.
- A clear request not to be contacted again is recorded on a suppression list and honoured.
- Bounce, wrong-contact and complaint information may be kept for the same reason: to prevent repeat contact.
- Information is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was given, for recordkeeping, or where a legal obligation requires it.
- Email hosting is operated by a service provider that necessarily processes messages to deliver them.
Do not send sensitive personal information, payment details, homeowner data or confidential field records by email unless it has been specifically requested through an appropriate channel.
§03 Research data
Public records are still handled carefully
The compilations described on this site are built from records that government agencies publish, plus business information that is publicly available. That something is public does not remove the obligation to minimise, check and restrict it.
- Owner and occupant contact columns are not included in an export by default.
- Residential, sensitive, redacted, stale and utility-self-tested rows are suppressed from feed exports.
- Where an extract could carry an individual's name in place of a business, it is withheld pending review rather than shipped.
- Public pages such as this one do not republish identifying details of specific properties or their owners. The sample on the fields page has those fields removed for exactly that reason.
- A correction or removal request about a record is acted on against the build, and the publishing agency remains the authority for its own record.
§04 Requests
Asking about your information
Privacy, correction and suppression requests go to the same address as everything else, and are handled by a person rather than a workflow.
This page describes current practice for a small, static site. As the service changes it will be revised, and commercial-email and privacy wording should be reviewed by qualified counsel as that happens.
